Surveying a vista such as this, across fields and hills which stretch out to the horizon brings a sense of freedom and peace. The landscapes depict scenes inspired by travel and exploration with an abstracted twist. I am not trying to simply capture a landscape but to explore its place in this world and connections between east and west, between Asia and Europe and UK for instance.
